Gift Exchange
Kindred Inkers (my upline's group) had a gift exchange party. Terry provided a make-n-take:
I hope my tutorial was helpful. I can't believe how hard the picture tutorials are to make!!
What a beautiful project and talk about fast and easy. It's amazing what some glimmer paper and a MDS (My Digital Studio) download can do to a cheap frame!!
This is the gift I got. Boni made it. I love how she made the sewing kit out of a Mason jar! See how she put the DSP (Designer Series Paper) in the pin case and on the back of the needles to tie them all together? I think this is a great gift idea. And WOW how pretty is that ornament? Boni got the ornament from Pinterest. I want to make some ornaments as gifts, so as I made the ornament I took some pictures to make a tutorial.
Cut 12 circles of each color (I used 3 1/2" circles) then fold in half |
Glue all the half circles together alternating color.
|
They should look like this when you have them all together. |
This is the top, it's flat on the table. |
Make tag. My paper was about 1" wide. |
Run Linen Thread through a button. |
Put the tag on the Linen Thread. Button on bottom, Tag on top. |
Lay thread over folded paper. |
I glued my thread to the paper. |
Glued sides together. |
To create a ball |
Hot glue the top and bottom of the circle
together on one color.
|
Hot glue the center of the other color. |
So it looks like this. |
This is what it looks like from the top. |
Tie a bow out of ribbon. |
Glue bow to top of tag. |
The finished Project |
I hope my tutorial was helpful. I can't believe how hard the picture tutorials are to make!!

It's Going to Be a Framelits Christmas!!
It’s going
to be a Framelits Christmas at my house this year!! How’s so?
Well, I was getting ready for
a cookie exchange and I bought cheap bags from the dollar store (no offense Dollar Tree). But that’s exactly what they were cheap dollar store bags.
a cookie exchange and I bought cheap bags from the dollar store (no offense Dollar Tree). But that’s exactly what they were cheap dollar store bags.
Well I couldn’t show up at the cookie exchange with cheap dollar store
bags! What fun is that? So I decided to close the top with a
decorated clothes pin. I attached a little strip of DSP (Designer Series Paper), by the way the Festival of
Prints DSP Stack from the Holiday Catalog sure goes a long way, then I gave it a
coat of Crystal Effects, attaché a stamped Merry Christmas image from the Mixed
Medley stamp set, which I cut out with a ¾” circle punch, added some ribbon and
now a cheap dollar store clothes pin is the perfect accessory to my cheap
dollar store bag (see Dollar Tree I really do love you, lol)
Howeve, I still wasn't finished. I stamped, embossed and cut out
little trees using the Scentsational Season Bundle and the champagne glimmer
paper is perfect for the star. I love
how the framelits work with the stamp set.
Then layered Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla card stocked which is cut out using the Labels Collection Framelits.
Stamped “to” and “from” using Cherry Cobbler ink and the stamp set
Fabulous Phrases. Hung it from the
clothes pin with a little bit of linen thread and now I have the perfect
packaging for my cookie exchange. Why
does the packaging have to be perfect?
Because I decided to put chocolate covered cherries in there!! If the packaging is that delicious the
content has to match!! I think everyone
will be happy when I show up! And I will
probably be invited back next year!!
Hope you have a framelit Christmas too!!

Square Christmas Ornament
We had our group Kindred Inker
meeting last Monday, and Kelli demonstrated how to make a Christmas ornament
out of 3” x 3” square of Designer Series Paper.
I immediately thought of the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper
Stack from the current Holiday Catalog!! I could make a bazillion of the
ornaments with that paper. And with the
size of the paper being 4 ½” x 6 ½” there wasn’t much waste! So here is what they look like closed
And here is what they look like
open! Petty. I will be making these for teacher gifts,
bank teller gifts, mail person gifts and so on and so on.
If you want to make them I have found
a video on YouTube for you. On the video Tami stamped hers.
Let me know how they turn out!!

just have to go to my Pinterest board “Stampin’ Up! card ideas" to find
